Ihioma International Association

Brief History of Ihioma

Ihioma is a nodal pre-colonial community which is situated in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. It is located in Orlu Local Government Area in Imo State, Nigeria. The community comprised three kindreds namely Ebenese, Okwuabala and Umuezennachi. The three kindreds historically were said to belong to the same parents. Ihioma’s geographical position enhanced its attraction to both educational and religious institutions much earlier from missionaries more than other adjoining communities.
